Report from Kiev seminar

Kiev - Land of all opportunities if you happen to be an opportunist.  Active went there on 15th of March and came back on 21st. Is the world changed you may ask…. Well.  It has to be. We had 30 young active persons, with sparks in their eyes who want to “Speak up for the environment”. Ok… maybe there was no big change in the world and maybe the environment didn’t get so much better. BUT that’s not so important. We (Active) managed to change the attitude of many people and those people have surely managed to influence people around us. They have changed the human environment. Even a small change is a change.
As prep team we arrived to the hostel few days earlier and found out (for our pleasant surprise) that the hostel had decided to turn off the warm water for the week that we were going to be there. Although washing with cold water is environmental friendly we didn’t find it so friendly and we decided to find another hotel…. In 1 day… and we did it. Thanks to the grate work of Eliina and Tanja – the super(wo)mans of Ukraine 
As experienced prep team we knew already then that we will have lots of problems with the change of scenery. But we didn’t have that much…. Just a little bit of more organizing and we were all ready.
We managed to settle in to a little “jungle” sanatorium place. The place was really nice and also had a pool and other things that made it look even nicer.
To think back then it was positive that our first accommodation place lost its warm water as we found an even better place. A place where we were in the nature. A place that was quiet (although our loud noise was disturbing others). A place with tropic trees and birds singing.
I will not go into details of what we did during the seminar, but be sure it was nice…. Really nice. Hopefully one day you will find somebody who was there and that person can tell you stuff.
PS! Enjoy pictures.
