

In 1994 there was material about alcohol's shadow sides that dominated the newspapers, while material about alcohol's pleasures took less column space. Fifteen years later, this relationship turned vice versa:
The share of columns that emphasizes the pleasures of drinking has doubled to 55 percent
The percentage of column reporting on harm caused by alcohol has shrunk from just over 40 to under 30 percent of the alcohol discussion.
The positive approach dominates all newspaper categories, both-local, district and national newspapers.
