I had the pleasure to visit Fredriksstad while being observer at IOGT Internationals board meeting for some weeks ago. The weather was splendid and having the sun shining in my face and the early autumn breeze in my head, made me long for that magic gathering again, the ones that make it happen.
For isn’t it so? That we always are longing for something different, that big change that will blow us over and take us to a new chapter in life? You know that you can make the change and will have to set those sail yourself?
Lots of things are happening around us, and fields are to be filled with action and motion and not least future plans. But the most important thing is that we not just make plans, but make something of the ingredients back home. Otherwise there will never be a cake made.
So even if you always should look forward, don’t forget to look here and now around you. Make those changes you want today, and make sure that you don’t pass it forward to the next start up. Of course we can, but believe me; the closer we are to the goal, the less slow starts we have to go through before we reach the top. I mean, you don’t jump down the hillside every time you have to refill with energy to go up and try reach top again? No, I say, find a nice spot to put up your tent and start working as soon as the sun rises. The air is as fresh as it could be, and it’s not yet too hot either. It’s just about perfect, perfect for the world to be a bit nicer than yesterdays.
