General Assembly of YFJ

I was there as an official delegate and I did my best to present our great family in big meeting like General Assembly of YFJ. 250 young people from all over Europe were there, full of energy, inspiration and great ideas, ready to discus about many things and with a lot of passion and motivation. It was a friendly atmosphere and a positive framework, but you still feel the competition and the sprit of race.
It is interesting in Lobbing, to find which one is the one that will support you and deal with representatives of Organizations from the same region. You talk to them a lot about culture, music, politics and for the organization that send you there for it.
You work hard for 3 working days to convince friends and delegates to vote for the best candidate. After 2 days of discussions, speeches and interesting events in the nights, the moment came: you count the votes of the friend that is next to you and you see how she is stepping towards the great success. She turned to me and said: “Thank you and to Active for this”. There are no words to express how you feel when 250 young people had supported you and your candidate, and you don’t find any way to express your gratitude to them. It is a great example and a great inspiration to see what we can do!
We can do more than we think we can do!

The views on the blogs are the views of the blog writer, and not necessarily the organization. ACTIVE cannot be held responsible for any possible consequences.

Congratulations to Kadri! With the election she got rewarded for several years of great work in and towards the YFJ. Congratulations =)) I think Kadri's work has really opened this forum for Active - and now Active is in a very good position to make its voice heard and have an impact. That feels great - just like you described, Glevin =))

i dont see getting elected as reward. I want to make things better for young people and this is another level and way to do it. Reward sounds bit odd and getting smth to get a position and that would be very stupid. And not to forget that in YFJ bureau I will voice 97 organisations, not only Active.:) Please dont forget that either.
