Considering the short time limit the result that came out is very thorough and feels professional. With help from the Office we have counted a majority of measures, which are proven to be working when it comes to reducing alcohol-related harm, like raising taxes on alcohol, reducing availability and exposure, education and information on alcohol, and so on, and so on. We were as well asked in the hearing to name ways in which Active can contribute to reduce harmful use of alcohol – and were happy to find a lot of them.
The good thing is, with the public hearing participation we have found another way to take part in the process of shaping policies, given our contribution on a world-wide arena and managed to stress out the youth perspective and importance of youth participation. As Kristina said – this is something where we can act.
Sometimes we only need to dare, and we can achieve much more then we ever would have thought in the beginning!
